EVstudio Goes Paperless

by Dean Dalvit on August 6, 2012

Over the last several years, we have been instituting tools to allow our design process to be more streamlined, with the core focus of our time to be spent on the design rather than administrative tasks.

Those tools include mobile devices like iPhone and iPad with apps that allow us to view drawings wherever we are. Our VPN connects all offices seamlessly and between Skype and VOIP phones, we are more mobile than ever.

The standard drawing format is in .PDF or .DWF and hardcopies of prints generally don’t happen until the final review and permitting stages.

This allows us to easily serve clients across the country (and in some cases, the world) with ease.

It’s also greener and takes up a lot less space in our office!

OK, there is still paper but note that the plotter is unplugged.
