The final chapter of this year’s Natural Talent Design Competition took place a little over a week ago. The Event was held in the Mercantile Room at the Wynkoop Brewery the evening of Thursday August 7, 2008. The event was sponsored by EVstudio and Elicia was the MC for the evening. Both Kacy and Beth Freeman volunteered at the event as well.

The event went very well and included a number of presentations including a presentation on sustainable urban development by a group of graduate Urban Design students from the University of Colorado at Denver, presentations of the top five finalist competition entries and a keynote presentation by Dr. Mark Gelernter, Dean of the College of Architecture and Planning at the University of Colorado.

The winning team was a multi-disciplinary team comprised of M. Arch. Students, Bill Turner & Jill Reily from the University of Colorado at Denver in conjunction with Anya Litvinova, a senior in the Interior Design program at the Rocky Mountain School of Art and Design. The team will take their design to compete nationally this coming November at the Greenbuild Convention in Boston, MA.

The pictures are compliments of Jennifer L Kirschke from the University of Colorado.
