One of the items that is very interesting about Evergreen Terraces is that it was not designed specifically with LEED Certification in mind. The building was well into construction when the owner approached us to see what we would need to do to achieve the LEED Silver designation. With a few minor tweaks and a little extra analysis and paperwork we were able to achieve this result.
I am frequently asked questions about whether or not we do “sustainable: or “green” design. The answer is yes, we have a sensibility about our designs where we take into account site, materials, energy efficiency, insulation, indoor quality and proper systems. We don’t have an agenda to force green design, instead we integrate it seamlessly into each project as it seems appropriate.
