New Licenses for Civil Engineering Department

by EVstudio AEP on January 13, 2011

Our Civil Engineering & Land Surveying Department been busy adding more professional licenses to our growing list.  To give you a brief run down, we are now licensed as Professional Engineers (PE) in: Colorado, Texas, Florida, New Mexico, Arizona, and Vermont.  We also hold the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) National Expert Witness (EXW) certification for expert witness/forensic engineering.  Last, but not least, we are licensed Professional Land Surveyors in Colorado as well.  One thing we have learned through the process of obtaining various types of licenses in different states is that each jurisdiction always has some state specific requirements that will vary from other states.  For example, Professional Development Hours (PDH’s) are required annually by the State of Texas for your license renewal, but are not required in other states (such as Colorado).  Some states allow electronic stamps and signatures while other states only allow electronic stamps (original signatures are required).  As part of obtaining a new license it is the applicants professional responsibility to understand all of the governing state’s guidelines and uphold those state specific guidelines while practicing in a particular state.

Our goal is to continue to offer our services on a regional and national level for a variety of different types of projects and we will continue to add professional licenses.
