Stapleton Citizen’s Advisory Board

by Sean O'Hara on July 17, 2008

I attended my first Stapleton Citizen’s Advisory Board meeting today as a board member. The AIA Denver Board nominated me to the position. Its very exciting to see the process that has been put in place and to have an opportunity for real input. The meetings bring together the developer, citizens, the Denver councilman, neighboring communities, parks representatives, police representatives and other stakeholders.

The biggest news from the board meeting was the information on the Mile High Music Festival in Commerce City, the Unity family picnic and the news that there is still no tenant signed up for the Eastbridge Grocery Store location.

In addition to my role on this board, I’ve been asked to join the Stapleton Zoning and Planning Committee (ZAP). I’ll have to attend a meeting and see what’s involved first. 🙂
