Adam Denton – Structural Engineer

Mr. Denton has been conferred the titles of Engineer Intern by the State of Colorado and Associate Constructor by the American Institute of Constructors and has a diverse background within the construction and structural engineering industries. Mr. Denton began his professional career reviewing subcontract documents for one of the nation’s largest construction firms. Following that he became the manager of all quality control operations at a pre-stressed concrete deflected strand bridge girder production facility in Littleton, Colorado. This lead to an interest in structural engineering and he became employed with a civil and structural engineering firm in Fort Collins specializing in custom home design. Mr. Denton quickly became adept in the disciplines of timber, concrete, steel and masonry design.

Adam’s areas of expertise include forensic (retro-fit) structural design applications as well as log construction, structures related to the solar industry and lateral (wind) design. Adam has been responsible for the design of upper echelon custom homes in Aspen, Vail and Evergreen as well as large commercial structures in Texas, North Dakota and Colorado. Mr. Denton is also experienced with design related to blast resistance for Army Corps of Engineers projects on Fort Hood and Buckley Air Force Base.

Mr. Denton is a Gemini who enjoys mountain biking, long walks on the beach, making handmade furniture and having lengthy conversations about where that furniture might be placed in a room.
