John Olson – Principal, Landscape Architect, Urban Planner

John has a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS. Mr. Olson is a registered Landscape Architect in the State of Colorado with over nine years of experience in landscape architecture, planning and urban design. Mr. Olson created his own company in March of 2010, Olson Planning & Urban Landscapes. Today, Olson Planning & Urban Landscapes has become a part of EVstudio. He has served as an integral member of the regionally reknowned sustainability group, Sustainable Fort Carson, for nearly two years.

In Colorado Springs, he is an activist where he serves as the Vice-Chair for the City’s Urban Renewal Authority, as a board member for the Downtown Review Board and a member of the Colorado LEED-ND committee under USGBC Colorado. He is a co-founder of the Congress for the New Urbanism-Colorado Chapter where he currently serves as the former Treasurer and current board member.
