Position Overview for Mechanical P.E. 

The ideal candidate is an experienced mechanical engineer who will: 

  • Develop HVAC designs from concept through completion of construction.
  • Prepare engineering design calculations and mechanical system layouts.
  • Prepare detailed engineering reports, narratives, and specifications.
  • Coordinate HVAC design requirements with architecture, structure and other disciplines.
  • Support business development initiatives by assisting the RFP process and interview process.
  • Actively engage in industry-specific organizations (ASHRAE or similar).

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • 6+ years of design experience in an A/E or MEP firm
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer designing HVAC building systems on complex projects.
  • Professional Engineering license (PE) required
  • NCEES Record Holder

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Multi-family and high-rise experience a plus
  • Experience with direct client contact and fostering those relationships.
  • Revit experience
  • LEED experience is a plus

Structural

We are looking for a structural engineer focused on building design who will fit into our flexible, collaborative environment and grow professionally. This is a great opportunity for the right individual to learn from seasoned professional engineers.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated engineer who is:

  • Interested in designing light frame wood structures or commercial buildings
  • Experienced with Revit and Structural Modeling Software
  • Experienced in some client management

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structures from an accredited program is required
  • Experience with Revit is required
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Familiar with common structural analysis software
  • Familiar with International and Residential Building Codes
  • Extensive design experience with wood, concrete, steel, and masonry – experience with post-tensioned concrete a plus
  • Passionate about the art of engineering and self-motivated
  • Ability to work in a team approach environment

We are looking for a civil engineer with at least 3 years of experience who can take a leading role in project design and who will fit into our flexible, collaborative environment and grow professionally while helping EVstudio grow as a business. Specific experience in subdivision and horizontal land development is preferred. This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to develop their project management skills and learn from experienced engineers.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated engineer who:

  • Has experience or interest in land planning
  • Can prepare grading, erosion and sediment control plans, storm water management plans, wet utility design, site planning, etc
  • Has a working knowledge of urban drainage design
  • Has knowledge of the permitting process for Denver, Jefferson County and other regional jurisdictions, or experience in similar jurisdictions

  • Is willing to mentor and manage junior team members

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of the Civil Engineering Department specializing in Land Planning to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will lead our civil engineering department with a focus on land planning projects, ensuring high-quality design, implementation, and management of various land development initiatives.   

EV Civil Principal Leadership, which currently leads this team, will remain engaged with the team but would like to provide a support role and assist the Director.  As a company that is looking to support the emerging leadership team, we are searching for someone that can grow into this position and utilize Principal support less overtime.   

 

Responsibilities: 

– Oversee the planning, design, and execution of land development projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, zoning ordinances, and environmental standards. 

– Lead a team of civil engineers, planners, and other professionals to deliver projects on time and within budget. 

– Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to address project requirements and obtain necessary approvals. 

– Develop and implement innovative solutions to optimize land use, infrastructure design, and site development. 

– Provide technical expertise and guidance on civil engineering principles, land planning strategies, and sustainable development practices. 

– Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively to meet project objectives and client expectations. 

– Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in land planning and civil engineering. 

 

Qualifications: 

– Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. 

– Professional Engineer (PE) license required. 

– Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land planning and development. 

– Proven track record of successfully leading and managing land planning projects from concept through completion. 

– Strong technical proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, and other relevant software applications. 

– Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. 

– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
