Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing

Position Summary:

  • Prepare construction documents, including drawings and technical specifications, for a variety of different project types and different sectors.
  • Work closely with other Engineers and Architects in the building design process from pre-design through the construction administration.
  • Develop electrical single-line diagrams, power and lighting plans, details, schedules, and engineering calculations for electrical projects per local and state code requirements.
  • Develop short-circuit calculations
  • Site photometric plans/calculations compliant with applicable jurisdictional regulations/requirements using Visual or other photometric software
  • Provide mentoring and guidance for young designers and engineering staff.
  • Assist with the development of company standards and organization.
  • Troubleshoot challenges that arise in design and construction activities.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in both written and oral work

The ideal candidate is an experienced electrical engineer who:

  • Has experience with the architectural design process.
  • Understands whole building M/E/P systems.
  • Is proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, & Bluebeam
  • Has experience with CAD, Revit, SKM Power Tools for Windows, Easy Power, or other electrical system modeling/drafting software.
  • Has experience and proficiency with Visual photometric software or other platforms (i.e AGI32, etc.)
  • Is an NCEES Record Holder.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of electrical engineering experience within a consulting engineering environment
  • BSEE (BS in Electrical Engineering) degree from EAC-ABET accredited university. 
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License
  • Familiar with ICC, NFPA, IECC, and NEC codes and regulations

Structural

We are looking for a structural engineer focused on building design who will fit into our flexible, collaborative environment and grow professionally. This is a great opportunity for the right individual to learn from seasoned professional engineers.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated engineer who is:

  • Interested in designing light frame wood structures or commercial buildings
  • Experienced with Revit and Structural Modeling Software
  • Experienced in some client management

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structures from an accredited program is required
  • Experience with Revit is required
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Familiar with common structural analysis software
  • Familiar with International and Residential Building Codes
  • Extensive design experience with wood, concrete, steel, and masonry – experience with post-tensioned concrete a plus
  • Passionate about the art of engineering and self-motivated
  • Ability to work in a team approach environment
  • Willing to adapt to different project types and tasks on a daily basis
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
  • Previously passed the Professional Engineering examination is a plus

Civil Engineering

We are looking for a civil engineer with at least 3 years of experience who can take a leading role in project design and who will fit into our flexible, collaborative environment and grow professionally while helping EVstudio grow as a business. Specific experience in subdivision and horizontal land development is preferred. This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to develop their project management skills and learn from experienced engineers.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated engineer who:

  • Has experience or interest in land planning
  • Can prepare grading, erosion and sediment control plans, storm water management plans, wet utility design, site planning, etc
  • Has a working knowledge of urban drainage design
  • Has knowledge of the permitting process for Denver, Jefferson County and other regional jurisdictions, or experience in similar jurisdictions
  • Is experienced with client communication and internal project management
  • Is willing to mentor and manage junior team members

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Professional degree in civil engineering
  • AutoCAD Civil3D experience is preferred

We are seeking an accounting assistant to help with accounts payable/accounts receivable and some project base accounting support. This person will have good attention to detail, a high level of accuracy and ability to problem solve.

The responsibilities are not limited to the following:

  • Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
  • Collect and review expense reports
  • Prepare bank deposit
  • Issue invoices and communication with client
  • Weekly check runs

STUDIO ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Are you smart, reliable, good with computers and have a strong work ethic? Would you like to work in a fun and fast-paced office? Great! We’re looking for a top-notch Administrative Assistant!

We have an opening for both our Commercial and Modular Studio for an Administrative Assistant. This full-time studio support role will support the studio team members with a wide range of project and administrative tasks. The applicant should be a person with good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff, friendly, energetic, organized, and self-motivated, as well as possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. The applicant would assist with answering phone calls, billing, printing (including wide format), preparing contracts, scheduling, and other office duties as required. The applicant should be proficient in using Microsoft Office Applications, such as Outlook, Word, and Excel, and have a working knowledge of billing/invoicing.

Candidates should have two years of professional office experience preferably in an architectural and/or engineering firm environment. This position is a full-time position in the Denver office Monday-Friday during business hours, therefore this position does not allow for remote work.

Reports to: Principal/Lead

Responsibilities:

  • Provide documentation support, draft contracts, and assist in bid document process
  • Project research and assistance with notes, project scheduling, email communication
  • Support project manager with interviews and meetings, binding books, following up on collections, drafting correspondence and technical documents
  • Build relationships with co-workers & team members to provide a high level of customer service and continually improve team member satisfaction
  • All general admin duties including but not limited to archive file management, answering phones, mail distribution, meeting room, event set up/take-down, etc.
  • Maintains strong moral principles and high level of sensitivity with confidential information
  • Document management: project file set up, maintenance and archiving

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience
