PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:
Dave Carpenter is a licensed Professional Engineer with over 25 years of experience in civil engineering, including more than 20 years working throughout Colorado. His background includes extensive work in commercial and industrial development, along with experience in residential projects.
Dave brings a practical, solutions-driven approach to site development and infrastructure design. He focuses on creating efficient, buildable designs that support long-term project success. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with multidisciplinary teams, helping to coordinate civil engineering with broader project goals to deliver cohesive and effective outcomes.
Prior to joining EVstudio, Dave owned and operated his own civil engineering firm, DAC Consulting, for six years. This experience strengthened his ability to manage projects holistically, balancing technical expertise, client needs, and business considerations.
In addition to his professional work, Dave is actively involved in his local community. He currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Westminster Planning Commission, where he contributes to planning and development decisions that shape the city’s growth. He also served four years on the Board of Directors for the Westminster Chamber of Commerce, where he supported community initiatives, participated in the Government Affairs Committee, and assisted with event coordination.
PERSONAL:
Outside of work, Dave has a strong passion for music and the outdoors. He sings in a Denver-based chamber choir and regularly attends live music performances, with a particular interest in bluegrass, jamband, and classic rock.
Dave also enjoys spending time in Colorado’s mountains hiking and snowshoeing. He has completed 32 of Colorado’s 14ers and continues to explore new outdoor challenges. When he’s not in the mountains or at a concert, he enjoys spending time with his cocker spaniel, Lincoln.
