PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:
Eric Remelius serves as Associate Director of EVstudio’s Production Housing Studio, bringing a diverse and well-rounded background in residential design, construction, and engineering support. Throughout his career, Eric has developed a practical, field-informed understanding of how homes move from concept through construction, allowing him to support efficient, buildable, and performance-driven housing solutions.
Eric has worked for three homebuilders in Colorado, gaining direct experience in production housing processes, coordination, and construction execution. He also spent eight years with a Geotechnical Engineering firm, strengthening his expertise in soil conditions, site constraints, and foundational systems—critical elements in residential development. In addition, Eric worked for four years in an office specializing in custom home design, expanding his architectural knowledge and client-focused approach.
His multidisciplinary experience across production housing, geotechnical engineering, and custom residential design provides him with a comprehensive perspective that supports collaboration between design, engineering, and construction teams. Eric’s background enables him to approach projects with a balance of technical awareness, problem-solving ability, and practical application.
PERSONAL:
Born and raised in eastern Nebraska, Eric relocated to Colorado in December of 1999 and has called the state home ever since. He has been married to his wife, Tania, for 21 years and is a proud father to two sons, Calvin and Conrad.
Outside of work, Eric is passionate about baseball—firmly believing it to be the greatest sport in the world. He enjoys traveling with his family, with Crater Lake National Park in Oregon ranking among his most memorable destinations. A fan of epic storytelling, Eric’s favorite fictional hero is Richard Rahl from the Sword of Truth series.
