Sean O’Hara, AIA

Sean is an Architect and a founder of EVstudio. He founded his own firm so that he could rethink the traditional firm and focus on client-centric architecture. A tenacious problem-solver, Sean isn’t satisfied until he has the right solution. He brings a “can do” attitude, seriousness about quality, and a relaxed demeanor to each project.

Sean has two primary roles at EVstudio. One of course is Architect and principal-in-charge on some of the firms most noteworthy projects. In addition, Sean acts as the Director of Support Services, where he oversees the accounting, IT, HR, M&A, and administrative functions of the firm. He acts as a connector between the senior leadership and helps to drive the progress of the firm.

On the architectural side, Sean has significant experience with schools and educational facilities, affordable and market-rate multi-family projects, offices, government projects, educational projects, mixed-use developments, master planning, custom homes, and performance spaces. His experience spans over 30 years with projects throughout the United States and Canada.

Sean moved to Colorado over 24 years ago, figuring that it was the land of his childhood vacations, and therefore was the place to go after college. He and his wife have raised three children in Denver. He’s a fan of dogs and occasionally brings his Grand Champion Rhodesian Ridgeback to work. He’s a longtime Scouting volunteer and a member of the board for the Great Colorado Council of Scouting America. Sean has also been proud to have a longtime connection to both coaching soccer and volunteering with the Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club, where he currently serves as the Board Secretary. In the recent past Sean was also a board officer and director of the American Institute of Architects Denver Chapter and was a key part of the restructure.
