Celebrating Affordable Housing at Eagle Awards
This month, EVstudio attended the highly anticipated Eagle Awards Dinner. This event is put on by Housing Colorado each year to celebrate the incredible work being done in affordable housing. The atmosphere crackled with excitement. Leaders and innovators gathered there. They shared a common purpose: creating homes for everyone.
The dinner underscored a critical mission. Affordable housing isn’t just about buildings. It’s about community and opportunity. It builds stronger foundations for families. It empowers individuals. Everyone deserves a safe and stable place to live. This belief resonated throughout the evening.
Our team in attendance of the awards included (L-R) Dean Dalvit, Rob Wilberger, Roxanne Jacobson, Mike Nickel and Alex Walz
Honoring Outstanding Achievements
One highlight of the night was recognizing outstanding achievements. The awards showcased innovative programs. They demonstrated impactful initiatives. These efforts are truly transforming lives. They are making a tangible difference.
A huge congratulations goes to BoulderMOD. This year, BoulderMOD won one of the Program awards. Their program is truly inspiring. BoulderMOD brings construction training directly to the Boulder Valley School System. Students gain valuable skills. They learn trades for the future. This initiative tackles two challenges at once. It addresses workforce development. It also supports housing solutions. Their dedication is commendable. BoulderMOD is building a brighter future.
Recognizing All Nominated Projects
While not every nominee could take home an award, their contributions are equally significant. We extend our sincere appreciation to all the projects nominated this year. Among these notable projects were two that EVstudio helped to design and engineer:
One was Adam’s Way. This project was a collaboration with Habitat for Humanity Vail Valley. It brought 16 much-needed homes to the Eagle County school district. Remarkably, 12 of these 16 homes went directly to educators and school staff. This effort truly supports our vital community members.
Another remarkable nominated project was Larkspur Apartments. This development brought 52 new apartments to Breckenridge. Larkspur Apartments also encourages a different view of modular design. It showcases innovative approaches to construction and design for modular buildings.
Remembering Past Successes
We also remembered past successes. Last year’s prestigious People’s Choice award winner, an affordable housing program in Kit Carson, which EVstudio provided A/E design, was honored in an opening video. Their continued impact remains significant. They set a high bar for excellence. Kit Carson’s success proves the long-term benefits. These awards foster ongoing innovation. They encourage sustained commitment and we were thrilled to work with them on this award winning project.

Looking Towards the Future
The need for affordable housing remains pressing. Events like the Eagle Awards Dinner are vital. They shine a light on crucial work, they motivate us all to do more, and they remind us of our collective responsibility. Let’s continue supporting these vital efforts. We can build a more equitable future. We can ensure everyone has a place to call home.
