EVstudio at the 2025 Mass Timber Group Summit
EVstudio was proud to attend the 2025 Mass Timber Group Summit, held in Denver, Colorado from August 20–22. The event brought together industry leaders, innovators, and enthusiasts to explore the future of mass timber construction.
Hands-On Workshop
The summit began with a hands-on workshop. Advanced Shear Reinforcement for Mass Timber, where EVstudio’s Katelyn Wager dove into emerging technologies like Grip Metal and Sharp Metal—innovations from Europe that promise to enhance panel layups and shear connections in mass timber applications.
Official Kickoff at Coors Field
The official kickoff took place at a Colorado Rockies game. Attendees braved the summer heat to network with fellow professionals and cheer on the Rockies as they claimed a win over the Dodgers—featuring none other than Shohei Ohtani.
Keynote Presentations & EVstudio Session
Thursday morning featured a lineup of inspiring keynote speakers, including Tye Farrow, who shared how mass timber can elevate the human experience through thoughtful architectural design.
That afternoon, EVstudio’s Dean Dalvit and Katelyn Wager joined CJ Myrick of ModCM to present Mass Timber & Modular: The Key to Cost-Effective High-Speed Construction. Their session introduced the audience to volumetric modular construction and highlighted the exciting synergy between modular design and mass timber for off-site building solutions.
Networking at the Denver Art Museum
The day wrapped up with a vibrant happy hour at the Denver Art Museum, where attendees enjoyed networking, refreshments, and even a touch of magic.
Final Day & Closing Celebration
Friday continued with a bustling vendor hall and more insightful presentations, culminating in a rooftop closing party at Denver’s Populus Hotel. As one of the world’s first carbon-neutral hotels, Populus served as a fitting venue, aligning perfectly with the sustainability goals at the heart of many mass timber projects.
Looking Ahead
EVstudio is excited to continue pushing the boundaries of sustainable design and construction. We’re grateful to have been part of such a forward-thinking event.
