Welcoming Elena Hepworth: Bridging Engineering and Architecture at LGA Studio at EVstudio
EVstudio is proud to welcome Elena Hepworth, a member of LGA Studio at EVstudio whose international experience and multidisciplinary background bring a unique perspective to the team. Since joining the LGA team in 2021, Elena has contributed to projects through a thoughtful blend of engineering insight and architectural design support.
Elena began her career after earning a bachelor’s degree in structural engineering from Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering in Russia. She spent three years working as a structural engineer, gaining hands-on experience with technical systems, coordination, and analytical problem-solving—skills that continue to influence her work today.
A Thoughtful Transition into Architecture
After moving to the United States, Elena made the intentional decision to transition her career into architectural design. She completed the Architectural Engineer Technician program at Pikes Peak Community College in 2021, building upon her engineering foundation while developing new skills in architectural documentation and drafting.
This combination of technical and design expertise allows Elena to approach projects holistically. Her understanding of structural systems enhances coordination across disciplines and supports efficient, well-integrated design solutions—an approach that aligns seamlessly with EVstudio’s integrated architecture and engineering model.
Perspective That Strengthens the Studio
Elena’s path into architecture reflects adaptability, dedication, and a commitment to continuous learning. Her international background and cross-disciplinary experience bring added depth to project teams and reinforce the collaborative culture of LGA Studio at EVstudio.
Outside of work, Elena enjoys spending time with her small family and honing her photography skills. Her interest in photography mirrors the attention to detail and visual awareness she brings to her professional work.
