Breaking Ground at Crown Pointe Primary: The Future Is Cub-Sized, and It’s Officially Underway

Breaking Ground on Crown Pointe Primary

We’re thrilled to share that construction has officially begun on the new 26,000-square-foot Crown Pointe Primary building in Westminster, Colorado—a purpose-built learning environment designed especially for Pre-K through 2nd grade students.

A Team Committed to Early Learning

The project team, composed of the full service EVstudio team, Roche Constructors, and Crown Pointe Academy faculty and staff, believes that “the future is cub-sized.” That philosophy continues to guide every inch of this new school—where classrooms, shared spaces, and even lighting are tailored to the scale, curiosity, and needs of Crown Pointe Academy’s youngest learners.

Celebrating the Groundbreaking

At the recent groundbreaking ceremony, Crown Pointe Academy’s leadership, Roche Construction, members of the EV design team, and students from the school community gathered to celebrate this major milestone. With construction crews now on-site, the team is turning the dream of a modern, student-focused facility—shaped by staff-led programming workshops and grounded in budget-conscious innovation—into reality.

Designed for Young Learners

The building will serve approximately 275 students and staff, and includes:

  • Dedicated classrooms for each grade from Pre-K to 2nd
  • A central learning hub and pocket library for schoolwide connection
  • A flexible art/music space, cafeteria/gymnatorium, and vibrant outdoor play areas
  • Wayfinding alcoves, padded reading nooks, and lighting designed to spark engagement

Built for Flexibility and Growth

One of the most exciting aspects of this project is its flexibility. The cafetorium and learning hub feature adaptable designs that grow with students, evolve with programs, and support the flourishing school community. From the custom exterior reveals that honor the Crown Pointe cubs to the cozy interiors, every element of this project reflects a deep commitment to early learning.
