Crown Pointe Academy Breaks Ground on New Early Learning Facility in Westminster
On May 6, 2025, Crown Pointe Academy celebrated the groundbreaking of its new Pre-K–2nd grade facility in Westminster, Colorado. This event marked the beginning of a significant expansion aimed at enhancing early childhood education in the community.
Designed by Jeffrey Scott and EVstudio, and built by Roche Constructors, the $17 million facility will stand beside the upcoming Uplands Colorado housing development. That neighborhood will eventually bring 2,200 new homes to the area. Together, these projects signal long-term investment in Westminster’s future—both in education and housing.
A Milestone in Educational Growth
Located directly across from the existing campus at 2900 W. 86th Avenue, the new 26,000-square-foot building will house 14 classrooms. This expansion will accommodate an additional 275 students, addressing the growing demand for early childhood education in the area. The project also plans to create 30 new full-time positions, further contributing to the local economy.
Strategic Design and Community Integration
The facility’s design, led by Jeffrey Scott and the EVstudio team, emphasizes a student-centered environment conducive to learning and development. Roche Constructors will manage the construction, ensuring the project meets its targeted completion date. Notably, the new building is situated adjacent to the Uplands Colorado housing development, which is expected to add over 2,200 homes to the area. This proximity underscores the school’s commitment to serving the evolving needs of the Westminster community.
Commitment to Comprehensive Education
Crown Pointe Academy’s curriculum is rooted in the Core Knowledge framework, encompassing subjects such as reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and literature. Students also receive daily Spanish instruction, promoting bilingual proficiency from an early age. Enrichment programs in music, art, health, and physical activity further support the development of well-rounded individuals.
Enhancing School Choice and Student Success
As a tuition-free public charter school, Crown Pointe Academy offers families an alternative to traditional public schooling, emphasizing flexibility and personalized learning. The school’s approach fosters strong family-school partnerships, recognizing that collaboration is key to student achievement.
Looking Ahead
The new Pre-K–2nd grade facility is slated to open in 2026, aligning with the anticipated growth from the Uplands Colorado development. This expansion not only reflects Crown Pointe Academy’s dedication to educational excellence but also its proactive approach to serving a growing community.
