Exciting Developments in the Welcome Center & Gymnasium for Westminster’s Growing School Community
The Crown Pointe Primary project is well underway in Westminster, Colorado — a purpose-built 26,000-square-foot educational facility designed to support Pre-K through 2nd grade learners with spaces that inspire curiosity, growth, and community. This expansion, a collaboration between Crown Pointe Academy, EVstudio, and Rosche Constructors, marks a significant milestone in the school’s mission to provide high-quality, engaging learning environments for its youngest students.
A Warm Welcome: The Learning Hub
One of the most exciting aspects of the project has been the progress on the Learning Hub, envisioned as the heart of the new facility. This space sets the tone for students, families, and staff — a bright, inviting entry that embodies Crown Pointe’s values of community, warmth, and opportunity. Thoughtful design gestures and material choices help ensure that the Welcome Center not only functions as a point of arrival but also begins to tell the story of learning and connection that unfolds throughout the rest of the building.
Flexible Fun & Fitness: The Gymnasium
Another standout space taking shape is the gymnasium, a multi-purpose area designed for physical education, assemblies, and community gatherings. With wood-frame construction providing both structural warmth and a human-scaled feel, the gym will support a variety of activities that promote wellness, collaboration, and joyful movement for students of all ages.

Throughout the project, the design team at EVstudio has embraced wood-frame construction and simple yet expressive geometries that echo the existing Crown Pointe campus and play into the sweeping views of the Flatirons and Front Range. These forms, along with carefully considered exterior materials, help bridge the new facility with its Colorado context and create visual continuity across the campus.
