Evergreen Elevated Trail
Evergreen Elevated Trail

EVstudio had the pleasure of designing the foundation for an elevated pedestrian pathway in Evergreen that links the Downtown business zone with Evergreen Lake and the miles of trails that branch out from this network. Part of the design by EVstudio was eight steel H-piles, two concrete pier caps, and railings. EVstudio also coordinated with Rocky Mountain Prestress for the design of the precast bridge components as well. RMP set all of the precast pieces in two nights, and the trail was erected in a very short time. This was a fun project for us to work on as we were able to work with several different agencies and professionals to put together a great community project. EVstudio worked in partnership with CDOT, City of Denver, the Evergreen Metro District, and the Evergreen Park and Recreation District. Along with design and permitting, EVstudio hosted numerous community meetings to align the community and multiple agencies involved.

Granby Development Access
Granby Development Access

While working with our client on a multifamily project, a side project with the Town of Granby was required to create an access road to the proposed development. Thankfully for our client, we had experienced civil engineers on hand procure traffic studies and design a new road onto the site from US40.
This road project was a cooperative effort between the Town, County, and CDOT to address the future growth needs of the community.

Warrior In Transition- Company Headquarters
Warrior In Transition- Company Headquarters

The Company Headquarters (COHQ) for the Warriors In Transition program is located in Fort Hood, Texas. This LEED Silver certified building was concurrent with the Soldier and Family Assistance Center and housed the administrative side of the Warrior In Transition program. This two-story building features offices, conference rooms, and storage.
The LEED Certification process takes teamwork, patience, collaboration, attention to detail, perseverance, and a ‘can-do’ attitude. It’s ultimately worth it to know that we are making a positive impact on our built environment and pushing for buildings to be healthier and more environmentally neutral.
Some notable credits for this building include Innovation in Design points for:
- SSc7.1 – Heat Island Effect
- EQc8.1 – Daylight and Views
- WEc3 – Water Use Reduction
- SSc5.2 – Site Development, Maximize Open Space

Warrior In Transition- SFAC
Warrior In Transition- SFAC

The Administrative Facilities for the Soldier and Family Assistance Center (SFAC) in the Warrior In Transition Complex is located in Fort Hood, Texas. This single-story facility features a treatment space, playground for soldier’s children, and gathering space for soldiers and their families. While government projects of this size and scope are notoriously difficult to design and manage the nimbleness of EVstudio allowed our design and build teams to adapt and change as the situation dictated. The SFAC project was concurrent with the Warrior in Transition Company Headquarters project and is an excellent example of our ability to balance multiple complex projects at the same time. Along with the Company Headquarters, the SFAC also received LEED Silver Certification status.

Brook Forest Flood Plain Study
Brook Forest Flood Plain Study

EVstudio civil engineering worked with a private landowner to review the flood plain boundaries at the confluence of Cub Creek and Blue Creek in Jefferson County. Upstream and downstream obstructions were studied as well as FEMA documentation for the area. This determined the impact of the hydrology on the surrounding residence.
