The Structural Engineers Association of Colorado, SEAC, will be having its Fall Seminar on October 21. Topics to be discussed are Masonry Veneer and Cladding Systems, Welding Knowledge for Structural Engineers and Post-Tensioned Slab Foundations in Colorado. Jim Houlette of EVstudio will be a speaker for the Post-Tensioned Foundations along with Al Claybourn with Kumar and Associates and Greg Arbour.
The seminar is an informal presentation of current design standards, introduction to PT foundations and warnings to help other engineers.
Post-Tensioned Slab Foundations in Colorado:
Representatives from structural and geotechnical engineering firms
knowledgeable about the design of post-tensioned slab foundations will
discuss the recent Colorado Association of Geotechnical Engineers
recommendations on post tensioned foundations in Colorado.
Presentations will provide key information on the development of
Colorado practice for the use of post-tensioned slab foundations with
consideration of local soil conditions, including expansive soils.
