“Now Posted Online: Planning Board Public Hearing Draft of the New Denver Zoning Code and Map
We are pleased to let you know that the Planning Board Public Hearing Draft of the new Denver zoning code and map has been published online at http://newcodedenver.org/ for public review.
We invite you to share your comments with the Planning Board at its April 21st public hearing. The hearing is at 1 p.m. in Room 4.F.6 of the Wellington E. Webb Building, 201 West Colfax Ave. Please note that the hearing begins earlier than regularly scheduled Planning Board meetings.
If you are unable to attend the hearing, you will be able to view it on Denver 8 TV and you may submit written comments to the Planning Board in advance. If you would like your comments to be included in the public hearing record, please e-mail them by the close of business Tuesday, April 19 tojoel.pousson@denvergov.org.
Community Planning & Development staff will hold New Code Office Hours in conjunction with the hearing to answer specific questions from the public. If you plan to attend the New Code Office Hours, please reserve a time by registering at the following link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/MXCCQLN. No registration is necessary to attend the public hearing.
Following the public hearing, the Planning Board will prepare a recommendation to forward to City Council.
Key remaining dates in the New Code adoption process are:
April 21, 2010 Planning Board public hearing, followed by Board recommendation to City Council
April 28, 2010 Blueprint Denver Committee consideration of new code
May 24, 2010 City Council – first reading of proposed zoning code ordinance
June 21, 2010 City Council – public hearing and final consideration of proposed ordinance adopting the new code.”
