Your partner for education spaces.
Education and athletic facilities present a lot of unique challenges, including transportation flow concerns, infrastructure realignment, and tight construction timelines, to name a few. From new construction to additions and significant renovations, our civil team has designed for about every type of education facility possible.
By working hand-in-hand early, we can help clients get a realistic idea of their land development costs, challenges a site may represent before they purchase, and consult on how to take the best advantage of a site for their needs.

TLC Early Learning Center in Longmont CO
TLC Early Learning Center in Longmont CO

EVstudio collaborated with TLC Learning Center in Longmont, Colorado, to design a 33,800-square-foot facility dedicated to early childhood education. Serving infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, the center combines classrooms with therapy and movement spaces to foster motor skill development, social-emotional growth, and sensory learning. The project reflects TLC’s mission to provide a comprehensive, inclusive approach to kindergarten readiness.
The design balances functionality and aesthetics while addressing licensing standards and the unique requirements of two early learning programs. Shared pocket restrooms, efficient plumbing layouts, and operable windows optimize space and comfort, while exposed structural elements create an open, engaging atmosphere. The cohesive color palette complements the surrounding landscape and supports TLC’s branding, promoting a calming yet energetic environment for students and staff. Nature-inspired outdoor spaces, designed by Norris Design, encourage exploration and play, while a fire-access track doubles as a bike path, enhancing site functionality.
Overcoming site challenges such as parking constraints, terrain, and setbacks, the design seamlessly integrates classrooms, playgrounds, and administrative areas. EVstudio’s design addressed evolving needs while maintaining program goals, aided by Golden Triangle Construction’s collaborative CM/GC approach, ensuring progress despite late-stage changes.
This cornerstone project underscores EVstudio’s expertise in creating impactful educational spaces. The TLC Learning Center is a vital resource for the community, supporting young learners and their families for years to come.

Mosaics Schools
Mosaics Schools

EVstudio partnered with MOSAICS, an Idaho Public Charter School specializing in STEAM education with a focus on Music and Arts, to design an impactful addition supporting their educational mission. This design/build project expanded the school’s facilities to include dedicated spaces for general music and band instruction, as well as storage, locker, and cleaning facilities. The addition not only enhances the school’s ability to deliver high-quality music education but also aligns with their commitment to integrating arts into a robust STEAM curriculum.
As part of the addition and renovation, EVstudio conducted a thorough analysis of the existing conditions to ensure a seamless integration with the current infrastructure. Our multi-disciplinary approach delivered comprehensive Civil, Structural, Architectural, and Mechanical/Plumbing (MP) designs, meeting the unique needs of the school while adhering to educational design standards. This project exemplifies EVstudio’s expertise in creating inspiring and functional educational spaces that empower students and support academic excellence.

From Design Advisory Committees to Community Input.
- Communication first, and always. We believe strongly in our personal connections with the team; in-person meetings and walking the project campus is a must.
- Public does not have to mean generic. We believe that there are too many generic facilities. Creativity and unique design that caters to students needs will always win.
- Client based documentation. We understand the balance of permitting at the different levels of jurisdictional review and format our plans for each review to ensure fast and efficient approval.
- Emphasizing green design. We blend environmentally friendly design with function to meet and exceed city or county standards.
- Collaboration at every phase. As the project scope evolves, we are accustomed to blending structural, electrical, and architectural components into our designs.
