Sean O’Hara, of EVstudio’s Denver office, will be a featured speaker at the AIA Colorado 2011 Practice and Design Conference. The conference is from October 13-15, 2011 at the Keystone Resort & Conference Center.
His 75 minute long session is titled “Growing a Firm in Interesting Times”. The session description is:
“The last few years have been very interesting for the AEC industry. Projects have gone on hold, employees have been laid off and billing indexes are down. They also happen to be the formative years of EVstudio. EVstudio has grown in both revenue and personnel during each of its five years. Out of necessity, we’ve generated a variety of strategies to play to our strengths. A combination of creative thinking, long hours and great partnerships has yielded a unique firm. At this point, EVstudio has grown to three offices and has diversified into engineering and other professional design services. The session will relate the experiences of the founders of EVstudio over the first few years. It will also translate how other architects can apply those experiences.”
