To support their growing practice, NVA Hendricks Veterinary Hospital partnered with EVstudio and HC Company to transform a 4,954-square-foot office building into a fully functioning veterinary facility. The existing structure had experienced significant flood and fire damage, requiring thoughtful renovation and careful planning to meet the clinic’s unique programmatic and technical needs.
A Collaborative Approach from Day One
The success of this project relied heavily on early and ongoing collaboration. HC Company joined the design process at the very beginning, offering valuable insights from past veterinary projects. Their expertise helped shape a space designed specifically for the Hendricks team’s workflow, enhancing staff efficiency and supporting the highest standard of patient care.

Spacious Reception and Lobby: Includes built-in retail shelving to showcase veterinarian-recommended products.

Nine Exam Rooms: Providing ample space for daily appointments and specialized care.

Centralized Treatment Area: Six workstations allow for smooth coordination during routine and emergency procedures.

Glass-Front Recovery Room: Ensures staff can closely monitor patients after surgery.

Two Fully Equipped Surgery Rooms: Featuring three surgery tables and a pass-through cabinet to maximize efficiency.

Additional Specialized Spaces: Including a dedicated X-ray room, lab and pharmacy corridors, and a kennel room with eight dog enclosures for boarding and observation.
