EVstudio MEP and Commercial Teams Serve Up Connections at Pickleball Event

The EVstudio MEP and Commercial teams recently gathered for an exciting pickleball event. The event brought colleagues together for friendly competition, team building, and plenty of laughs. Hosted by Jon Anderson, P.E., and Michael Banks, MEP Directors and Principals, the gathering created a great opportunity for employees to connect outside the office.

From the moment attendees arrived, the energy remained high. Players of all skill levels stepped onto the courts and embraced the spirit of the game. Some participants had years of experience, while others picked up a paddle for the first time. Nevertheless, everyone joined the action with enthusiasm.

Jon and Michael organized the event to encourage collaboration and strengthen relationships across teams. As a result, employees had the chance to interact in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. While daily projects often require focused teamwork, events like this help colleagues build stronger personal connections.

Several team members attended the event and contributed to its success. Attendees included Jana Hutkova, Co-Director of the Industrial and Commercial Studio, Ing. Arch., who enjoyed meeting colleagues from different disciplines. Jeff Scott, R.A., Project Architect, Ryen Seib, Architectural Project Designer also joined the event and participated in several spirited matches.

Beyond the competition, the event highlighted EVstudio’s commitment to company culture. Strong professional relationships often lead to better collaboration and communication. Therefore, activities outside the office can positively impact project performance and workplace satisfaction.

The pickleball event also showcased the diverse talents within EVstudio. Team members demonstrated determination, adaptability, and teamwork on the courts. These same qualities help drive successful project outcomes every day. Furthermore, the event reminded everyone that collaboration extends beyond meetings and project schedules.

Throughout the afternoon, participants cheered for one another and celebrated great plays. Friendly rallies generated excitement, while lighthearted competition kept everyone engaged. Meanwhile, conversations between matches allowed employees to learn more about their colleagues’ experiences and interests.

Events like this reinforce the values that make EVstudio successful. Employees work hard to deliver exceptional results for clients. However, they also recognize the importance of building meaningful connections with coworkers. By investing in team-building activities, EVstudio continues to foster a positive and collaborative workplace culture.

The pickleball gathering concluded with smiles, memorable moments, and stronger relationships across teams. Thanks to the leadership of Jon Anderson and Michael Banks, the event provided a perfect balance of competition and camaraderie. Most importantly, it demonstrated how shared experiences can strengthen teamwork and create lasting connections.

As EVstudio continues to grow, opportunities like this will remain valuable. The success of the pickleball event highlights the importance of bringing people together. Whether on a project team or a pickleball court, collaboration remains at the heart of EVstudio’s success.
