Growing Together: Reflecting on a Double Milestone of Shared Success
This past June brought a meaningful milestone to my career: I celebrated five years with EVstudio. Even better, our whole team marked EVstudio’s 20th anniversary that same month. Looking back on this double anniversary, I feel deeply grateful for my journey here.
A Journey of Professional Growth and EVolution
Five years ago, I moved halfway across the country and walked through EVstudio’s front doors. Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Instead, I found a thriving community of peers and mentors. They cared about architecture and engineering, they produced quality work, and they still made time for fun.
Since then, EVstudio has given me constant opportunities to grow. As a result, I’ve picked up new skills and advanced my career alongside my peers.
Embracing New Opportunities
During my time here, I’ve watched the firm’s EVolution firsthand. Our organizational groups shifted, our staff changed, and the economic market moved too. Both EVstudio and I had to adapt and embrace that change.
Through it all, leadership encouraged everyone to keep growing. In fact, they often pushed me outside my comfort zone. Those moments felt hard at the time, but they shaped the professional I am today. Because of that mutual trust, I’ve had endless opportunities to thrive.
The Incredible People Behind Our Culture
Of course, no firm reaches a 20-year milestone without a strong foundation. My co-workers are fantastic to work with every day. They bring unique talents, genuine kindness, and hard work to every project.
EVstudio is also a truly cross-discipline firm. I’ve learned a lot from my civil engineering peers. However, I’ve also learned from every other discipline in the company. Together, our team strives for excellence in everything we produce.
At the same time, we laugh often and support each other through tough stretches. That warm, supportive environment brings real joy to my workday.
Looking Ahead to a Bright Future
Our June celebrations reminded me how fast time flies when you’re having fun. Twenty years of success gives EVstudio a rock-solid foundation for the future. We build that success together, and we lift each other up with every milestone.
Meanwhile, my own five-year mark feels like the beginning of a longer story. I look forward to many more years of shared achievements, innovation, and collaboration.
