Kickball, Comebacks, and Colorado Weather: EVstudio’s Annual Kickball Game

At EVstudio, we believe some of the best team-building happens outside the office. On June 1, our team gathered at Manwaring Field for an afternoon of kickball, camaraderie, and a little friendly competition.

Of course, no Colorado outdoor event would be complete without a weather surprise. While rain eventually made an appearance, it wasn’t enough to dampen anyone’s spirits. Employees embraced the challenge and kept the energy high, making the most of the time together on the field.

This year’s game featured a relaxed “cup-in-hand” atmosphere, with teammates enjoying beverages while cheering each other on and showing off their athletic abilities—or at least their enthusiasm. What started as a dominant performance by Team One quickly turned into one of the most exciting comebacks we’ve seen.

After jumping out to an early 8-0 lead, Team One looked poised to cruise to victory. Team Two, however, had other plans. Fueled by determination and a few impressive defensive plays, they chipped away at the deficit inning after inning. The momentum shifted dramatically as Team Two mounted a remarkable comeback, ultimately securing a thrilling 14-12 victory.

While the score made for an exciting finish, the real highlight was the opportunity for employees from different departments to connect, laugh, and spend time together outside of their normal work routines.

Events like our annual kickball game are part of what makes EVstudio special. They create opportunities to strengthen relationships, build new connections, and celebrate the people who make our company successful every day.

Rain or shine, we call that a win.
