Six Awards for EVstudio Homes at the 2026 Colorado Springs Parade of Homes
Two homes EVstudio worked on won six awards at the 2026 Colorado Springs Parade of Homes!
The Housing & Building Association of Colorado Springs announced the winners at its annual Parade of Homes Awards Banquet on October 14. Industry professionals judge the Industry Awards of Excellence. Parade attendees vote for the People’s Choice Awards. Both are broken out by price category.
The Emerson Estate, designed by our EVstudio Housing team and built by Abigail Homes Green Building Concepts, won five of those awards. Toll Brothers‘ Animas Contemporary, with structural engineering by EVstudio, won the sixth. Here’s a look at each one.
The Emerson Estate: five awards
The Emerson Estate swept its price category, winning the People’s Choice Award plus four Industry Awards in the $3,800,000 to $4,200,000 range. Abigail Homes Green Building Concepts built it, and our EVstudio Housing team provided the home design.

People’s Choice Award
Parade attendees vote for the People’s Choice Awards after touring the homes in each price category. This award came straight from the people who walked through the Emerson Estate in September.
Best Kitchen
The gourmet kitchen is organized around an oversized island. Together with the soaring ceilings of the main living space, it leads to spaces designed for gathering.
Best Interior Design
Abigail Homes Design Services designed the interiors. Spaces include a spa-inspired primary suite, plus a lower level with a recreation room, game room, wet bar, custom bunk room, and guest suites.
Best Architectural Exterior
The exterior blends French Country architecture with contemporary finishes. Natural stone, warm wood accents, dramatic rooflines, and expansive windows define it. Covered decks and patios extend the living space outdoors.
Best Overall Home
Best Overall Home recognizes the house as a whole. Congratulations to Abigail Homes and everyone on the project team who brought the Emerson Estate to life!
Animas Contemporary: Best Primary Suite
Toll Brothers‘ Animas Contemporary won Best Primary Suite in the $715,000 to $755,000 category. EVstudio provided the structural engineering.
The three-level home fits 1,733 square feet. Its primary suite includes a walk-in closet and a private bath with a dual-sink vanity. The open main level connects the great room, dining area, and kitchen, and a covered deck expands the entertaining space.

A shout-out to The Greystone
The Greystone, built by Milestone Homes Colorado in Terra Ridge North, is the other home our EVstudio Housing team designed for this year’s Parade. Its photos were shown during the category submittals at the awards banquet.

The Greystone blends natural stone and warm wood with cathedral ceilings and exposed beams. Inside are a scullery, four fireplaces, and a spa-inspired primary bath. Outside, a mountain stream water feature, fire pit, and hot tub complete the outdoor living area.
