The Cub Creek Ranch home combines traditional exterior materials of rustic wood, stone, and corrugated metal with modern geometric forms and massing. This modern aesthetic leaves much of the structure exposed. Steel I-beams, columns, and a steel c-channel moment frame inform the structural stability while also serving the visual aesthetics both inside and outside the home. This aspect was an important element to the owner and drove much of the design.
We really enjoyed working with the owner and his builder, Dave Graham of W. J. Graham Master Builders and look forward to designing the next mountain modern home.
