Meet the Team: EVstudio Boise

Meet the Team: EVstudio Boise

When your office has fewer than a dozen employees, you get close with your coworkers — really close. We’re less “team of staff” and more team of family and friends. Here in Boise, our Quarterly Meetings, Monthly Lunches, and Spirit Days are less about the agenda and more about the chance to sit down together. We share a meal and catch up on each other’s lives.

We’ve also celebrated baby showers at the office, danced at each other’s weddings, and shown up for birthday parties. Beyond our annual Holiday Christmas Party, we gather every November for Friendsgiving at our Director’s home. Sometimes we do things a little differently than our coworkers in Denver. For a smaller team like ours, it just makes sense. This year’s “Company Picnic,” for instance, was a bowling party at a local spot called Big Al’s. A few team members even showed up with their own shoes and bowling balls.

Here’s a closer look at the people who make our Boise office feel like home.

Kilo, Our Office Dog — and Kahlil, His Dad

Kilo is four years old. He’s practically grown up in the office, coming in since he was a puppy. He’s a big fan of a good handshake and an even bigger fan of cookies. He also has an impressively colorful bowtie collection to show off.

His dad, Kahlil, is a Mechanical Engineer. He joined EVstudio in the summer of 2022 to work in our MEP studio. Outside of work, Kahlil has served in the Idaho National Guard for eight years. He loves a good potluck and is always happy to share his fabulous recipes.

Amanda, Our Office Director — and Jackson, Our BIM & IT Manager

Amanda just celebrated her 11th EVersary with the company. As our lead architect, she’s earned the affectionate title “Empress of the Office.” Born and raised in Nampa, Idaho, she and her husband, Jackson, welcomed their second son this past spring.

Jackson is EVstudio’s Building Information Modeling and IT Manager. He’s always the first to fire off a witty, creative reply on Teams. He’s also a devoted Star Wars fan — fittingly, his birthday falls on May 4th. Originally from Eugene, Oregon, he’s been with the company since 2017.

Pat, Design Project Manager

Pat has been with EVstudio for eight years, managing design projects with the same energy he brings to the rest of his life. He’s a Washington native and an avid golfer. He also played softball growing up and still catches a game or two whenever he’s back home. These days, he stays active alongside his two equally active dogs.

Makayla and Abbey, on the Interiors Team

Makayla is one of our Architectural Project Managers. She joined EVstudio in 2022 and is originally from Montana. An avid reader, she works closely with the Interiors team alongside Abbey.

Abbey joined the company last year to lead our Interior Design Studio. She’s from Denver and lives with her husband and their two children.

Sandra, Architectural Design Intern

Sandra is a recent graduate. She’s been with us for almost a year as an Architectural Design Intern, gaining hands-on experience with the team.

And Me — Kristi, Administrative Assistant

I’ve been at EVstudio for four years now, working in Support Services. My job is to keep the office running smoothly and make sure the team feels happy and supported. Planning all the fun EVents and making sure EVeryone has what they need is just part of my day. I love working alongside such a great TEAM in Boise, where EVeryday brings new projects and new possibilities.
