Jim Houlette – Director of Structural Engineering

Mr. Houlette has extensive professional experience in structural engineering design and management of various wood structures from custom homes and multi-family housing to commercial projects using concrete, steel and CMU block.

He started his experience working in the field during the summers while attending college by inspecting soil and asphalt conditions, rebar placement, and concrete testing. Since graduating he was quickly assigned projects to design and to manage a production team. With many projects successfully completed James now oversees all operations of the structural department.

In recent years, Mr. Houlette has designed post tensioned foundations, residential homes, commercial buildings, retaining walls and projects for the Army Corps of Engineers. The wide range of projects makes him a well rounded engineer experienced in all types of construction.

Jim spends his time off work with his wife Kate, and their 3 children.
