On the serene shores of Stocking Island in Exuma, Bahamas, a one-of-a-kind beach experience has officially arrived. Coconut Club, which opened its doors on August 29, 2024, is a sustainably designed, off-grid beach club offering the perfect mix of island adventure, modern comfort, and architectural innovation.
Accessible only by water taxi, seaplane, or private boat, Coconut Club was developed through a collaborative partnership between Coconut Club, ROXBOX Containers, EVstudio, and P&P Co.. Together, the team delivered a self-sufficient destination that captures the natural beauty of the Bahamas while minimizing environmental impact.
Built for Paradise
The 2,080 sq ft facility consists of nine custom steel-frame modular buildings, including a full-service bar, commercial kitchen, restrooms, dry storage, retail shop, and an ordering kiosk. The structures were built off-site by ROXBOX Containers and transported to the island using flatbed trucks, barges, and custom trailers—allowing for efficient delivery and installation in just 178 days.
With engineering services provided by EVstudio, each unit was designed to meet the unique challenges of the marine environment. The superstructures were constructed with HSS tube steel frames and a combination of wood and cold-formed steel infill, while marine-grade plywood and corrosion-resistant detailing provided essential protection against the elements. The entire facility was engineered to withstand ultimate wind loads up to 180 mph.
Off-Grid and On Point
Thanks to strategic input and coordination from P&P Co., the Coconut Club runs 100% off-grid, powered by a HELIOS Solarlator Fold-Out 60+ kW renewable energy generator and a solar-powered walk-in cooler, providing cold storage and full energy independence.
A Laid-Back Experience for All
Coconut Club was designed to offer a complete guest experience, blending island charm with thoughtful amenities. Guests are welcomed by swaying coconut palms, shaded lounge chairs, and the club’s signature yellow-striped umbrellas. On-site offerings include:
-
Island-inspired food and cocktails
-
A Kid Zone for family-friendly fun
-
Swimming platforms, snorkeling areas, and beach games
-
A retail shop for beach gear and souvenirs
-
ADA-compliant facilities for accessibility
Whether visitors come for a day of adventure or a peaceful afternoon by the water, Coconut Club delivers an unforgettable blend of sustainability, design, and laid-back luxury.
