The Westgate Community School Spring Carnival provided more than just games, food, and fun this year—it also offered families, students, and staff a glimpse into the future of the campus.
As planning continues for the new Audinasium, the event served as an opportunity to share project updates and gather excitement around the next chapter of Westgate’s growth. Community members had the chance to view renderings of the proposed spaces, ask questions about the project, and learn more about the vision for the future campus.

One of the most memorable activities of the evening invited students to leave their mark on a building that has been part of Westgate’s story for many years. With the north building scheduled for demolition as part of the upcoming improvements, students were encouraged to draw, sketch, write messages, and create artwork throughout the building. Hallways, classrooms, and walls quickly filled with colorful designs, signatures, memories, and expressions of excitement for what lies ahead.

The activity created a unique opportunity for students to celebrate the building’s history while looking forward to the spaces that will replace it. From imaginative sketches of future classrooms and gym spaces to heartfelt messages about friendships and school memories, the artwork reflected the creativity and spirit of the Westgate community.
The strong turnout throughout the evening highlighted the enthusiasm surrounding the project and the continued support of Westgate families. Parents, students, alumni, staff, and community members gathered to celebrate the school while learning more about the improvements that will support future generations of students.

Thank you to everyone who attended, shared ideas, and helped make the evening a success. We look forward to continuing to engage the Westgate community as the project progresses and bringing these exciting new spaces to life.
