DaBell Oral Surgery
DaBell Oral Surgery
DaBell’s Oral Surgery Center is a custom-designed, 4,700 sf, two-story healthcare facility with patient receiving, lab, exam rooms, surgery rooms, nurse’s station, and recovery on the ground floor and the future purposing of private offices above. The client wanted an inviting “rustic” office building that complimented its surrounding community while standing apart from other structures.
Utilizing large stained timbers as part of the façade, partnered with natural earthy stucco tones and a cultured stone wainscot helped to achieve the desired effect. Building undulations and projections paired with large glass windows further accomplished the overall goal by bringing the outdoors inside. Care was taken with the interior design of the building as well, to make each detail of the interior as deliberate as the exterior.
As one enters the facility, they are welcomed with a view of a warm curvilinear reception desk, coffered ceiling, and rich finishes all around. Overall, the structure is a manifestation of our natural environment brought down to a human scale to put the clientele at ease while they are enduring the facility’s services.

Caldwell Veterinary Clinic
Caldwell Veterinary Clinic
This veterinary clinic is a commercial project in Idaho. Completed in late Spring of 2020, the clinic has a total of 7,300 square feet capable of servicing domestic and agricultural animals. The facility has six exam rooms, a treatment room for surgery, grooming area, boarding area, and pasture. A large exam and surgery room are available for larger animals, typically horses and cows. Oversized low-stress access to this room is via a large garage door that opens into a covered recovery corral. The veterinary staff uses this corral to observe the large animals post-treatment before releasing them into the pasture for further recovery.
In addition to these spaces, the office has an isolated kennel area for animals that may need to be kept overnight or animals being boarded. The clinic also has its own lab, pharmacy, X-ray and processing area, and ICU.
The use of our virtual reality lab was instrumental in allowing the owner to see things from the animals’ perspective. The collaborative process allowed our design team to leverage this input and create a space to minimize stress on the animals.

Teller Medical Office Building
Teller Medical Office Building
The Teller Medical Office Building is an innovative treatment center for those suffering from the effects of the opioid crisis in the Denver metro area. The project consists of 25,000 square feet of tenant improvement work in an existing three-story office building in Lakewood, Colorado.
Serving the segment of the population that has developed an opioid addiction from prescriptions for pain management for injuries or surgery, the three-story facility offers necessary services in one location: medical, physical therapy, and group counseling. To make appointments easier to accommodate for the users, space is also reserved for the family waiting. Imaging and ambulatory surgical services will be referred to dedicated facilities as needed, though imaging services may be incorporated in the future. For this project, our architecture and MEP engineering experts worked collaboratively to ensure this existing building meets all medical facility considerations while offering a comfortable and discreet place for patients to receive treatment.

A partnership with EVstudio brings your project to a new level.
- Balancing office and medical needs. Understanding needs such as exam rooms, medical storage, waiting room layout, and circulation is only the beginning.
- Times are changing. Medical offices of the past do not work in today's clinical environment. Doctors need spaces to consult with each other, larger exam rooms to allow for a more complicated list of services, and offices that allow for tech.
- Sustainable Design Options. Sustainability is a core strength and something we can prioritize when crafting your building designs. Energy modeling for PACE financing can be a critical piece of your capital stack.
